President and founder of Trio Solutions Inc., Jessica has worked in the
marketing communication and health care industries for more than 15 years and has been
involved in Web development for health care organizations since 1997. In addition to owning and
operating Trio Solutions Inc., Jessica is an adjunct professor at the Medical University of South Carolina,
where she teaches health care marketing.
Prior to opening Trio Solutions Inc.
in April 2001, Jessica was
responsible for developing and carrying out e-health strategies and managing the
development and operations of all organizational Web sites for Children's
Hospital of The King's Daughters (CHKD) Health System in Norfolk,
Virginia.
She holds a master's degree in health
care administration from the Medical University of South Carolina and an
undergraduate degree in management and marketing from the University of North
Carolina at Asheville. Following her post-graduate studies, Jessica
completed a fellowship and residency in health care administration, focusing heavily on marketing, public relations and Web development.
Jessica's professional
background includes a wide variety of projects, some of which include strategic planning and start-up planning for businesses and programs,
public and government relations, community outreach, Web development, e-health
strategy, event planning and branding. She has worked with the Medical
University of South Carolina, Roper St. Francis Healthcare, Trident Health
System and various specialty, primary care and human service practices throughout the
Charleston-metro area. Additionally, she worked with Sentara Health System in Norfolk, Virginia on
establishing a joint strategic plan between CHKD and Sentara for pediatric services in community-based
hospitals.
Prior to pursuing a master's
degree in health care administration, Jessica traveled overseas for five months and
enjoyed experiencing a wide variety of cultures in countries such as Kenya, South Africa,
Australia and Mexico.
Past professional experiences include working as an account
executive for Easterby and Associates Advertising and Public Relations and assisting the vice president of marketing for a home-decor manufacturing plant, both
located in Asheville, North Carolina.
She is active in the community
and involved with her alma maters. Jessica served as president of the
Joint Alumni Board at MUSC in 2006 and served three consecutive terms as president of the
College of Health Professions Alumni Association at
MUSC from 2003-2006. She is the PR chair for the Lowcountry Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, as
well as a board member for Gethasemi Circle of Friends. Jessica is also a member of the board of
directors for the Copahee View Homeowners Association and actively involved with her church, Point Hope United Methodist Church.
She enjoys volunteering in the community and her volunteer efforts have included ASCEND Foundation, March of Dimes,
The Education Foundation,
Trident Urban League and Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.
She is also active with
numerous business associations including the Center for Women, the American Marketing Association,
American College of Healthcare
Executives, Public Relations Society of America and the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce.
In 2005, Jessica was selected as one of Charleston's Top 40 Under 40 by the Charleston Regional
Business Journal. Additionally, she received the Department of Health Administration and Policy's alumni
achievement award for 2005.
She is also co-founder of TeamMama.com, a local interactive Web site designed to enable Charleston-area parents
to connect with each other, their community, and their children.
Jessica and her husband, Jamie
Holcombe, a professional sportfishing captain, live in Mount
Pleasant, South Carolina with their son, David and daughter, Hannah.
