RiverDogs support local hospitality employees and their families

The Hospitality Heroes Fund, a nonprofit organization aimed at helping Charleston-area hospitality employees and their families when faced with a medical hardship, invites the local community to come out to the Charleston RiverDogs game on Monday, August 10. Game time is 7:05 p.m. Tickets are available in advance for $7 at Red's Ice House on Shem Creek, or by calling the Hospitality Heroes Fund at (843) 270-4700. For every ticket sold through Red’s or the organization, $4 will directly benefit the Hospitality Heroes Fund. The game is part of the RiverDogs' "Dogs with a Cause" initiative to help increase awareness and fund-raising opportunities for local nonprofit organizations.

As Trio Solutions Inc. continues to grow its nonprofit client base, we felt it was essential to ensure all of our services are provided under state guidelines. Although we do not classify ourselves as a fundraising consulting business, because of the nature of our business, we are oftentimes very closely tied to fund-raising efforts and helping nonprofits raise money in order to achive their mission. Whether this is through setting up online donation capabilties, planning a fund-raising event or designing a marketing piece to help increase donations, we wanted to make sure we follow the state guidelines. We are pleased to announce that as of June 2008, Trio Solutions Inc. is officially recognized and registered with the South Carolina Office of the Secretary of State's Public Charities Division.

TCPC tap into Hispanic market

Trio Solutions coordinated the translation, from English to Spanish, for Tri-County Project Care's Web site and enrollee handbook. Together with Merrill Translations, a translation company based out of New York City, NY, Trio Solutions created a mirror image of TCPC's Web site; the only difference is the mirror Web site is completely in Spanish. TCPC serves many of the Tri-county's Hispanic citizens and felt it was imperative to offer the group the same tools they would offer their English-speaking market.

Advance Nursing establishes online career center

Advance Nursing, a medical staffing firm headquartered in Greenville, South Carolina now offers a Web-based career center for nurses and allied health professionals to apply online. With the help of Trio Solutions and iVista Digital Solutions, a strategic partner of Trio Solutions, Advance Nursing has increased the number of applicants by 25 percent since the module launched in October 2003. Together Trio Solutions and Advance Nursing continue to explore new ways to utilize the Web to link the organization with their customers.

Local Komen Affiliate gets a new look

The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation Charleston Affiliate recently selected Trio Solutions to redesign their Web site. The Trio Solutions team quickly began to work on the new site to ensure a launch in time for the annual Race for The Cure marketing campaign. The affiliate also hopes to use their new Web site to help survivors, patients and families come together to share stories and words of encouragement and support.

Scrubs in Motion goes ".com"

National retailer, Scrubs in Motion is known for its traveling sales force as they go from destination to destination making it convenient for healthcare professionals to purchase medical attire. This summer, with the help of Trio Solutions, Scrubs in Motion ventured out into the World Wide Web to make life even more convenient for their customers. Using Miva Merchant shopping cart software and Authorize.net e-commerce suite, Trio Solutions developed an online store for Scrubs in Motion, established order fulfillment methodologies and continues to work with the Scrubs in Motion team to add new inventory to the Web site on an ongoing basis.

Doing it all for South Carolina's children

Full of child advocacy tools and information about South Carolina's children's hospitals, Trio Solutions launched the Collaborative's Web site on Sept. 15. Through resources available from Common Craft, LLC, based in Seattle, Wash., the Collaborative will be utilizing an online community to better connect their members and to provide a forum for members to collaborate on children's health issues.

MUSC Alumni Affairs launches new and improved Web site

The new site will provide online tools, up-to-date information for alumni and friends of the Medical University. Additionally, the site provides information on how to join the association and news categorized by the six colleges represented at MUSC.

MUSC Children's Hospital announces new health information portal for parents, kids and teens available at MUSCkids.com

MUSCkids.comThe MUSC Children's Hospital hired Trio Solutions to redesign their Web site. The project involved the collaboration between Trio Solutions and the MUSC IT Lab. After several weeks of planning and content collection for the site, MUSCkids.com was launched. The new site includes thousands of pages of health information, information about the hospital and how to prepare for a visit.
