Social Media Specialist

This role is responsible for planning, developing, implementing and managing the organic social media presence for TRIO and its clients. The social media specialist will create and share a brand personality by being an amazing storyteller who creates a buzz and inspires an online community. This position will start conversations on behalf of the brand, cultivate engagement and build loyalty with followers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be an expert in all social media platforms and options necessary for successful social media impact
- Understand the client(s) target audience(s) and effectively present messaging in a way that supports overall social strategy
- Research and reciprocate client-specific business and industry trends
- Set up and monitor Google Alerts for all relevant accounts
- Collaborate with clients and account managers to plan and execute social media strategies via content calendars that maintain a timely social media presence creating strong engagement and measurable results
- Moderate and engage with key audiences on the client’s behalf to promote growth based on the client’s social media package
- Create visual content libraries (i.e. jpegs, animated gifs, story images, etc.) that support the brand
- Create compelling and interesting in-platform stories
- Utilize The Creative Lab to create content for TRIO and its clients
- Anticipate, plan and execute live video opportunities
- Cultivate relationships with local and national influencers to support client and agency goals
- Leverage all client and agency-generated content for social engagement
- Identify and create audience profiles for social ads that support client goals
- Develop and place social media ads when needed based on campaign objectives and select ad formats that support campaign success
- Utilize Meta Business Manager, TikTok Ads Manager, X Analytics and LinkedIn reports to monitor and analyze social media activity and ad performance in order to continuously adjust and improve
- Support account managers and digital marketing specialist in the creation of monthly, quarterly, and/or annual client reports as it relates to social media insight data

In addition to an insatiable desire to learn, to be successful in this role, you must have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, social media or similar field
- 3-5 years social media management experience (agency setting preferred)
- An obsession with social media
- Excellent writing, editing (text/images) and oral communication skills
- Excellent knowledge of leading social media channels (i.e. Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, Pinterest, etc.)
- Must be comfortable in front of the camera and prepared to make original content for the agency and its clients
- Knowledge of social media advertising and platform analytics tools
- Proficient in Meta Business Manager, Canva and platform-specific available tools
- Comfortable creating custom images in a variety of styles for multiple clients
- Understanding of GSuite and Microsoft Office software
- Ability to develop, implement and manage multiple priorities and deadlines with a positive attitude
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure, in a fast-paced environment with competing demands both alone and in a team environment
- Resourceful self-starter able to generate concepts/ideas independently or with minimal direction
- Dedicated to excellent customer service and willingness to learn new skills
- Basic phone video editing skills
