As chief financial officer, Julie brings a wealth of financial and operational expertise to TRIO’s operations. With a career dedicated to enhancing financial positions, optimizing operational efficiencies, and enriching employee experiences across diverse industries and company sizes, she is a seasoned leader in strategic financial management.

Julie’s business journey started after obtaining her MBA from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia. She has fully embraced her entrepreneurial spirit throughout her career, having worked for startups, nonprofits, consulting firms and one outlier—a hedge fund. Her passion for systems, data and creating order out of chaos has consistently delivered positive results.

Beyond her corporate achievements, Julie has a long and dedicated history of volunteer leadership, reflecting a lifelong commitment to community service and strategic impact. She served as a warden of the Vestry at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Darien, Connecticut, was a long-term member of the Altar Guild, and founded St. Luke’s Knitting Ministry.

Julie is currently enjoying serving as the head of the St. Christopher’s By-the-Sea Summer Chapel Committee in Winter Harbor, Maine, as well as its treasurer. For seven years, she was a dedicated executive board member and treasurer for the Grindstone Association, also in Winter Harbor.

After living in Australia for ten years right after business school, during which time she traveled extensively, Julie is now a homebody. She moved from Connecticut to Mount Pleasant a decade ago and now cherishes being near her children and grandchildren. For three months each summer, Julie loves being in residence at her 1880s Farmhouse in Winter Harbor, Maine. Wherever she is, she needs coffee and nature, and enjoys reading, tennis, golf, knitting and being with family and friends.
